Rougher End Mill Use
Roughers or Hoggers, are very useful for rapid removal of large amounts of material. The chip groove design allows for more cutting fluid to get to the cutting edge of the tool. This dissipates heat better. Faster speeds & depth of cuts are a feature of these type mills. The coarser the pitch of the rougher edge, the more material is removed and the less smooth is the finish. In addition, our roughers have an eccentric relief. Regrinding can be done simply at the cutting face of the tool.
